L’Acquario e il nuovo mondo, tra armonia e solidarietà

Nel periodo che va dal 21 Gennaio al 19 Febbraio, il sole attraversa il segno dell’Acquario. Segno d’Aria, simbolicamente rappresentato da un uomo che tiene tra le braccia un’anfora dalla quale sgorga acqua: un’acqua che diventa aria, simbolo di libertà, conoscenza ed evoluzione, destinata dunque a dissetare l’anima, non il corpo.

Siamo alla fine dello Zodiaco, e mentre i primi due segni, l’Ariete e il Toro, sono legati alla materia e all’istintualità più primitiva, gli ultimi due segni, l’Acquario e i Pesci, ne sono sprovvisti.

Segno opposto e complementare al Leone, l’Acquario esce dal sé per universalizzare il proprio sentire, guidato da un forte spirito sociale e umanitario. Pronto a battersi per le giuste cause, lontano da istinti di competizione e da sentimenti di gelosia e invidia, vibra di un temperamento generoso ma indipendente, curioso e vivace, sempre innamorato della vita e di tutto ciò che evolve.

In natura, il tempo dell’Acquario è legato al periodo in cui i semi sottoterra elaborano le sostanze che consentiranno loro di esprimere al massimo la potenzialità che darà vita a nuove piante. E così fa anche il nativo dell’Acquario, che mira a far scaturire il potenziale evolutivo da ogni essere.

I suoi Pianeti Maestri sono il saggio e ponderato Saturno, signore del tempo e del limite, e il rivoluzionario Urano, che trascende il tempo e lo spazio. Il 19 Dicembre Saturno ha lasciato il segno del Capricorno per entrare in quello dell’Acquario, segnando un passaggio epocale.
Nei due anni passati abbiamo sperimentato il suo lato oscuro: quello severo, restrittivo, autoritario e spietato.
Quel lato buio di Saturno che nel mito evira il padre Urano e divora i propri figli.
Ma con l’ingresso nel segno dell’Acquario, Saturno valica il proprio limite, supera la paura di essere spodestato, espia le proprie colpe e rinasce come uomo nuovo.

Il Saturno di stampo acquariano rivela il suo lato luminoso, e ci riporta a ripercorrere l’altra parte del mito: quando fu scacciato dall’Olimpo dal figlio Giove, egli fu costretto a un lungo periodo di espiazione, vissuto nel totale isolamento.
Alla fine del lungo periodo, per Mistero Orfico, padre e figlio però si riconciliarono, e Saturno si insediò in Italia, dove inaugurò l’età dell’Oro, un’era di pienezza ed abbondanza. Dove regnò con saggezza e altruismo, rendendo gli abitanti ricchi e felici.

Nel giorno del Solstizio d’inverno, il 21 Dicembre scorso, Saturno e Giove (padre e figlio) si sono uniti in cielo nel segno dell’Acquario, così tanto, da creare un’unica stella luminosissima. Una congiunzione così stretta non accadeva dal 1623, e mi piace pensare che celebri simbolicamente il tema della riconciliazione e della pace.

L’ingresso di Saturno e Giove in Acquario segna anche il definitivo ingresso nell’Era dell’Acquario.

Il tema del cambio delle Ere, caro alle maggiori correnti esoteriche a cui si rifanno figure chiave del pensiero filosofico, tra cui Omraam Mikhael Aivanov e Rudolf Steiner, ha a che fare, sul piano scientifico con la precessione degli equinozi, durante la quale il Pianeta Terra ruota intorno al proprio asse in modo imperfetto, determinando un moto retrogrado.

Dell’Era dell’Acquario si parla già dagli Anni Sessanta. Ricordate il film musical Hair? Una delle canzoni era proprio Aquarius, che cantava l’avvento di un’età dell’oro che avrebbe portato un nuovo paradigma, e di conseguenza un nuovo mondo, dove avrebbero imperato armonia e solidarietà: l’Acquario ci invita a rivitalizzare il potenziale insito in ognuno di noi, che non può prescindere da un’armonizzazione con gli altri, nel segno della solidarietà e della cooperazione, e da un connubio armonico tra mente, anima e corpo.

Ne abbiamo bisogno, anzi il mondo ne ha bisogno. Auguri a tutti gli Acquario dunque, e a tutti noi!

Aquarius and the new world

In the period from January 21 to February 19, the sun crosses the sign of Aquarius.

Aquarius is an Air sign, symbolically represented by a man holding an amphora in his arms, from which water flows: a water that becomes air, a symbol of freedom, knowledge and evolution, destined therefore to nourish the soul, not the body.

We are at the end of the Zodiac, and while the first two signs, Aries and Taurus, are linked to matter and to the most primitive instinct, the last two signs, Aquarius and Pisces, refuse them.

Opposite and complementary to the Leo sign, Aquarius comes out of the self to universalize its feelings, guided by a strong social and humanitarian spirit. Ready to fight for the right causes, far from competitive instincts and feelings of jealousy and envy, he vibrates with a generous but independent, curious and lively temperament, always in love with life and everything that has the capacity to evolve.

Such close conjunction has not happened since 1623, and I like to think that it symbolically celebrates the theme of reconciliation and peace. The entry of Saturn and Jupiter into Aquarius also marks the definitive entry into the Age of Aquarius. The theme of the changing of the Ages, dear to the major esoteric currents to which key figures of philosophical thought refer, including Omraam Mikhael Aivanov and Rudolf Steiner, on a scientific level is linked to the precession of the equinoxes, during which the Planet Earth rotates around its axis imperfectly, causing a retrograde motion.
